Who, Me? MVP? An Awesome start to 2009!

MVP_Horizontal_FullColor_150x61 I can’t think of a better way for me to start 2009 than by thanking everyone for their support and encouragement over the past year. I received word on January 1st that I have been selected as a 2009 Microsoft MVP, which is a great honor for me.  It seems like a long time since I first began work in this field, and while I grew to love my work and enjoy the community I entered because of it, I never dreamed I would get an honor like this!

As you all know, sometimes times are tough and each year brings accomplishments and setbacks.  The last year has been no different for me, with challenges and successes.  But with the support of all of the terrific people I have met through the Microsoft community, I feel very thankful that my work has brought me to the attention of my peers and the professionals at Microsoft.

I hope that through 2009, I can continue to contribute to our community.  The best way for all of us to work better, smarter, and faster is by sharing our expertise, learning from each other, and reaping the benefits of our collective knowledge.

Of course, I have to thank my family and, in particular, my best cheerleader, my daughter, Aurora, for always having faith in me.  It’s nice to know that in the eyes of your family, you are always an MVP.  (Though having Microsoft reaffirm it isn’t too shabby – ha! ha!)

Wishing you all the best in 2009, and looking forward to working with you through the year!
